I’m going out to watch the softball game
and cheer the girls who’ve come to play
(and take a bit of springtime sun, I may):
I shan’t be gone long. You come, too.

I’m going out to help the home team win.
It’s rare to see such fire in teams so young,
although they know it’s really just for fun.
